Privacy policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
Doorman provides an AI website assistant that businesses ("customers") put on their own websites. This policy explains what we collect on askdoorman.com and in the Doorman app, and how we handle data we process for our customers.
On askdoorman.com
If you request early access, we collect your name, work email, company and website, and use them only to contact you about Doorman. If you use the chat on this site, the conversation is recorded so we can answer you and follow up, and the assistant remembers your browser with a first-party cookie so a later visit can continue the conversation. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your information.
In the Doorman app
For people who use the app, we keep account details (name, email, workspace membership) and a log of important actions in each workspace, to run the service and keep it secure.
Data we process for our customers
When a business uses Doorman on its website, we process its visitors' data on that business's behalf and only to provide the service to it: chats, pages visited, and details a visitor chooses to share, such as an email address. That business decides what is collected and is responsible for telling its visitors; its own privacy policy applies. We do not pool visitor data across customers, sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Each customer chooses how long its data is kept, and it is deleted automatically after that.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run Doorman: Supabase (database and sign-in), Railway (hosting), Cloudflare (website and DNS), Resend (email), and OpenRouter with the AI model providers it routes to. AI requests are sent only to providers that do not retain or train on the content. Optional features a customer turns on, such as contact enrichment, use additional providers under the same terms.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If your data came from a business's website that uses Doorman, you can also ask that business directly, and we will help them respond. Emails sent through Doorman always include an unsubscribe link.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, customer credentials are encrypted at rest, and each customer's data is kept separate from every other customer's.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell customers about material changes.
